Stout speaks of his education; conservation work at the Fogg Art Museum; his experience as Arts and Monument officer in Europe; conservation in America; and his directorship and Worcester Art Museum, 1947-1954, and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, 1955-1970. He recalls Richard Buck.
